Monk Chanting with Kittens by Rob Kroenert (Wiggum03) on Flickr.

A monk chanting in a monastery near Nyuangshwe, Myanmar (Burma). I didn’t see the kittens at first - they only popped up when they heard the sound of my camera.
Bagan - monks candles & full moon by Sara Heinrichs (awfulsara) on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
Full moon, candlelit temple, old monk in prayer, young monk - all remarkably still for a one second exposure. Many of these were simply too soft, especially those of the young ones. They were tiring and wavered in their meditation.
There is one that I actually like, a strange shot, dreamy. Perhaps I shall post it later…
Monk & Taoist / Yellow & Blue by Luo Shaoyang on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
Monk and Taoist -an usual meeting. Taken in Wutai mountain (五台山), the well-know Buddhism mountain in China. The Buddhism and Taoism are two of four major religions of the world: Christian, Budlism,Taoism and Muslim.
Last summer, I occasionally saw them on a path of Wutai Mountain. I then invited ( frankly, I asked them) them to take a picture togather, they were hesitating on my request at that time. Finally, I got them together by a joking, I said ” there is nothing more beautiful than blue and yellow in the world, you are the yellow - Buddhism, and you are the blue - Taoism, if you are stand together, you are most beautiful men in the world” Then they agreed to be captured.
Wutai Mountain to apply for world natural and cultural heritage
这张照片的特别之处在于和尚和道士都各自表现出了他们身后的宗教及文化色彩,从举止也能看出不同的宗教教义及特点。
